Event Policies

The following policies of the Canadian Club of Halton (CCH) have been approved by the volunteer executive so we can be transparent in administering our events.

Payments for Membership and Tickets
A reservation for an event is confirmed by way of a ticket purchase (on the website or e-transfer). Individual or Family Memberships are available on the website or can be made by e-transfer to pmt@canadianclubhalton.ca.

In the rare situation where someone does not have access to the Internet or e-transfers through their bank, payment may be accepted by cash, cheque payable to Canadian Club of Halton, or credit card, taken at the door. If you are unable to process payments in advance of the event, please email pmt@canadianaclubhalton.ca and provide your contact information and indicate the number of tickets you wish.

Deadlines for Tickets
Tickets are available up to midnight three business days prior to the event. The deadline will be highlighted on the website banner and the speaker flyer. No reservations will be accepted after the deadline date. The reason is we must guarantee numbers to the conference centre.

Cancellations & Credits
Credits may be made for the following reasons:
– Cancellation notice received 3 days prior to the event.
– Extenuating circumstance (i.e., illness) if notified prior to the event.
Individuals who have reservations but find they are unable to attend may transfer their reservation by informing CCH the name(s) of who is taking their place. We do not offer refunds.

Member vs Guest Rates
A membership in the Canadian Club of Halton is good for one year from the date of purchase.  By purchasing a “Membership” an individual is permitted to purchase a ticket for $10.00 less than the Guest Rate. Family Memberships permit immediate family members to purchase at the member rate. A Single Membership is only valid for one individual.  Any non-members must purchase a guest ticket, this includes a single member’s spouse.

Meeting Notifications
We endeavor to update the website within 2 days of the last meeting with the new speaker tickets. As a courtesy we will send reminder notices to members who have not purchased tickets 2 weeks and 1 week prior to the event.
