She is a senior partner at Henein Hutchison LLP, recognized in Canadian Lawyer as one of the country’s Top Ten Litigation Boutiques. Named Toronto’s 15th Most Powerful Person by Toronto Life, she has been repeatedly recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer, named as Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in 2019 in the Criminal Defence category and was a recipient of the Laura Legge Award from the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Society of Ontario Medal. Marie is the Past President of The Advocates’ Society. She is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Law Commission of Ontario. She is one of the founders of the Court of Appeal’s appellate Duty Counsel Program.
