Robin Blair

Researcher, Writer, Business Advisor, Board Director

Blair speaks on the biggest social phenomenon of our times – the seniors’ tsunami. Canadian demographics show a massive wave cresting, as the Baby Boomers begin spilling into their senior years. But the impact will be felt by all of us, in all areas of our lives – health care, law, employment, consumer trends, housing and technology. The aging of our world will affect us both directly and through the people we care for.

Blair’s research interests are in gerontology and health services research, and he frequently writes on the subject of aging in the Globe and Mail, Hamilton Spectator, Ottawa Citizen, Waterloo Record, Winnipeg Free Press and Halifax Chronicle. His perspective on aging comes from a broad background in health and disability services, business, finance, governance and law – and a touch of personal experience.

Our aging world will bring profound change, along with both possibilities and challenges. There is much to be done to prepare ourselves, our businesses and our governments for the “aging age”.
