Canada’s Long Term Economic Growth – Can Political Parties Work Together?
Lisa Raitt is a former Canadian politician who served as a federal Cabinet minister and member of Parliament from 2008 to 2019. A member of the Conservative Party, Raitt was elected to the House of Commons in the 2008 election, representing Halton. Shortly after her election, Prime Minister Stephen Harper named her minister of natural resources, holding the role until 2010, when she became minister of labour. Raitt was re-elected in the newly formed riding of Milton.
